Zellige VIII
Zellige takes its name from the intricate geometric tilework that is one of the great artistic achievements of Moroccan civilisation, adorning the palaces, mosques and riads of Marrakech for over a thousand years. The neighbourhood sits within the historic medina, close to the craftsmen's quarters where master artisans still cut and fire ceramic tiles by hand, maintaining techniques passed down through generations. The streets surrounding the artisans' workshops are among the most atmospheric in the city — narrow, ochre-toned lanes leading past carved cedar doorways and the sounds of traditional workshops. The famous Saadian Tombs and the El Badi Palace ruins are within easy walking distance. To live here is to be in the company of centuries of living craft tradition and architectural beauty.

Discover Marrakech.
Zellige VIII sits in Marrakech, where the rose-coloured walls of the Medina enclose a thousand-year-old city of riads, souks and gardens. Each riad is a quiet, courtyard-centred world; a few steps outside, the souks of Djemaa el-Fna and the spice markets carry the city's other rhythm. The Atlas mountains rise on the horizon, the palmeraie to the north, and the new districts of Guéliz and Hivernage extend the cosmopolitan thread westward. Zellige VIII is anchored inside that geography.
